Our Promise
Our Promise is a short list of hard limits. The numbers come straight from the game's config files, and the code reads them.
"We built the mahjong you love, and fixed what people hate about it."

What does the promise say, row by row?
Seven rows, each one a limit the game keeps. The values are the same ones shown in the game.
Does the web game show ads today?
No. No ad network is connected, and the web build shows no ads of any kind.
The limits above are already checked in the code ahead of any ad slot. Today there is simply nothing for them to limit.
What the Shop does right now
- The "Free boosters (opt-in ad)" button grants the boosters right away, without showing any ad.
- The "Remove ads forever" button switches ads off right away, with no payment.
- There is no real-money purchase anywhere in the current build.
How do you earn coins?
Just by playing: 20 coins for every level you clear and 10 per star. Coins cannot be bought with real money.
| How | Coins |
|---|---|
| Clear a level | 20 |
| Each star, 1 to 3 per board | 10 |
| Clear the daily challenge | 5 x your streak |
| Clear 3 boards in a day | 40 |
| Daily gift, 7-day calendar | 20 to 120 |
| Item | Coins |
|---|---|
| Hint | 30 |
| Shuffle | 40 |
| Undo | 20 |
| Tile skin: Midnight Jade, Sakura or Deep Ocean | 300 each |
| Garden ornament, 8 in all | 150 to 800 |
- Clearing the same daily board again on the same day pays no coins.
- The opt-in reward is 2 hints and 1 shuffle. Today the Shop grants it without any ad.
- All 8 garden ornaments together cost 3,250 coins. Classic Ivory tiles, all three face sets and all three tables are free.
How are stars awarded?
Generously. Finishing always earns 1 star, and hints, undos and rescues never cost you one.
The clock runs silently. Speed only ever adds a bonus at the end, revealed on the win card: never a countdown, never a penalty. Par is 2.2 seconds per tile.
- 1 star
- Finishing the board. Always.
- 2 stars
- A steady pace, or a 3-chain combo.
- 3 stars
- Beating par by 20%, or a 5-chain combo.
What never resets, and what does?
Your lifetime score, your badges and your place in the gift calendar never reset. The daily streak counter does start again at 1 if you miss a day.
Never resets
- Your lifetime score. It is banked once when you win.
- Your badges. All 16 are permanent and never taken away.
- The 7-day gift calendar. A missed day never resets it; you continue where you left off.
Does reset
- The daily streak counter. Miss a day and it starts again at 1.
We say this plainly so "never resets" means exactly what it says.
How is the daily leaderboard checked?
The server replays every posted run with the same game engine, so only runs that really clear the board can rank.
- A posted run is the raw move log, not a score.
- The server replays it with the same game engine and ranks only runs that genuinely clear the board.
- The server works out the score itself. A score sent by the player is never trusted.
- A copy of someone else's winning run under a new identity is rejected: each move log can belong to one player only.
- Runs faster than 200 milliseconds per match are rejected as not humanly possible.
- Oversized or malformed submissions are rejected.
What it cannot stop
A scripted player that really solves the board can still post a fast time that looks plausible. What is impossible today is ranking a run that did not clear the board.
Today the leaderboard runs on a development server over plain HTTP. It is a prototype setup, not production hosting.
How the daily worksWhy can every board be cleared?
Because each board is built backwards from a full clear, then checked again before you see it.
- The generator fills the layout with tiles.
- It simulates clearing the board from the top down, one free pair at a time.
- It assigns matching faces to each pair it removed, so the order it recorded is a real solution.
- A separate solver re-checks every board before it is used.
The generator and the live game share the exact same "is this tile free?" rule, which is why the guarantee holds while you play. On 2026-10-08 the game's self-test played these with deliberately imperfect moves and confirmed every stuck state was rescued:
