Tray mode was reworked on 17 July 2026. You tap a free tile and it flies into a wooden tray with four slots. When two of the same tile are in the tray, they clear together.
The two tiles do not need to sit next to each other on the board. The tray simply looks for a pair. Fly, pop and slide animations make each step easy to follow.
As tray mode works now, a full tray of four tiles that do not match gets a free shuffle. It is never a game over, and it is never tied to an ad.
Tray mode is the default for new players. Classic tap-two is one switch away in Settings, and tray games are just for you: they are not recorded and never feed the leaderboard.
